School Art

When you look at the title, you immediately presume that I am at the moment taking Art class at school.
This is why presumptions are so dangerous, people!
Because, I am NOT taking Art class!
But anyways, when I do homework (especially Chemistry), my day ends up looking a little like this:

Sad, right?
Tears are welling up in my eyes at this very moment.

Anyways, I have this thing for drawing. For making art. For creating something in my mind and then drawing it out on paper. But with school going on, I really don't have time to just sit down and doodle. So I do it in school.
I can here you gasping and clicking your tongue and saying something like, "Bethany, I am ashamed of you! Not paying attention in school! It's about as bad as texting!"
Well, you have yet to learn that drawing, for me, can actually ease up the tension of school.
It shows my thoughts:

Or when I am struggling with a temptation (Should I be a good or bad girl?)

And very often my teachers find all sorts of things on the sides of turned-in homework:

And sometimes my thoughts are very random (sorry, I couldn't figure out how to turn it sideways):

Or talk about my life (here, I am playing with my cats while my brothers are hard at work on their schoolwork, like I am supposed to be doing):

And I have even done a piece called "Art With No Meaning", or in other words, Modern Art.
This, in truth, is sharpie traced over some wrinkles in the paper.

But I'm just saying. Make time to do things you love, even if it means taking a sharpie and make meaningless lines everywhere.
If you love music, but hate your History book (if you by chance do, then I feel your pain), make the history of the Ottoman empire into a song. Maybe even invent your own language called, "The Otto's Language". Be crazy! Be wacky! Don't let school or work take the sparkle from you! :)

New Things

Okay, yes, I changed it. The title, the look, and very soon I'll be changing other stuff too. Isn't this exciting?! But I changed the look for two reasons:
1) It's a new year, a fresh start, time to make my blog look fresh too!
2) Some certain people have complained that last years set-up hurt their eyes.
You poor things.

But now this color won't hurt your peepers, right?
Oh good!
So now everyone is happy and smiling now, right?
We can now celebrate 2014  with smiles and dimples, right?
Oh good. :)
